Terms of use
Effective date: 24 July 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of:
- BillZi, our invoice-scanning mobile application for Android and iOS; and
- AIron, our AI workflow automation platform
(together, the “Services”).
The Services are provided by:

By accessing or using a Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use a Service for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to act for that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Services
BillZi allows users to scan, store and manage invoices and related information.
AIron connects to systems selected by a customer, such as email, calendars and business applications, and runs workflows configured or approved by that customer. AIron may classify messages, extract information, retrieve customer-approved knowledge-base content, prepare responses and perform authorized actions.
AIron, its database and its MATHCODE-controlled large language model (LLM) run on MATHCODE-controlled infrastructure in Zagreb, Croatia. Customer content is not sent to an external cloud AI provider.
Specific paid features, usage limits, service levels, support obligations and prices may be governed by an app-store purchase, order form or separate written agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these Terms, the separate agreement prevails for the conflicting matter.
2. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for protecting your device, email account, authentication factors and recovery codes.
AIron customers are responsible for selecting authorized users and assigning appropriate roles. You must promptly notify MATHCODE at info@mathcode.hr if you suspect unauthorized access or another security incident.
You may not share an individual account in a way that bypasses access controls, impersonate another person or attempt to access another customer’s data.
3. Customer content and connected providers
You retain ownership of content and data that you provide or connect to the Services. You grant MATHCODE the limited right to host, copy, process and transmit that content only as necessary to provide, secure, maintain and support the Services and to comply with law.
AIron customers decide which email, calendar and destination providers to connect and are responsible for:
- having authority and a lawful basis to process the connected data;
- providing required notices and handling data-subject requests;
- the accuracy of workflow rules, approved RAG knowledge-base content, recipients and destination settings;
- ensuring that connected accounts and providers may lawfully receive the configured data; and
- not uploading individual user records or unnecessary personal data into the RAG knowledge base.
Third-party providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies. MATHCODE is not responsible for a third-party provider’s independent acts, availability or changes.
4. AI-generated content and automated actions
AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate or inappropriate. You must review whether an output is suitable for its intended use and must not represent an unverified output as certain or professionally validated.
New AIron deployments initially restrict outbound responses to provider-side drafts for human review. After validation, an authorized customer may enable direct sending for defined workflows. The customer is responsible for approving that change, monitoring the workflow and maintaining a way to handle uncertain or exceptional cases.
AIron is not a medical device and is not intended to provide medical advice, diagnose a condition, answer clinical questions or make treatment decisions. It must not be used for emergency communications. Healthcare decisions must be made by qualified professionals.
5. Acceptable use
You may use the Services only lawfully and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- violate privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property or other rights;
- process data without the required authority, notice or legal basis;
- upload malware or attempt to disrupt, overload or bypass the Services’ security;
- probe, scan or test vulnerabilities without MATHCODE’s prior written permission;
- reverse engineer or extract source code except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- use the Services to send spam, deceptive communications or unlawful content;
- use AIron for prohibited discrimination, unlawful surveillance or decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects without the safeguards required by law; or
- resell or provide access to the Services unless MATHCODE has agreed in writing.
MATHCODE may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to prevent harm, investigate misuse, protect data or comply with law.
6. Intellectual property
MATHCODE and its licensors retain all rights in the Services, software, designs, documentation, trademarks and underlying technology. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Services for their intended purpose during the applicable subscription or agreement.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of your content to MATHCODE. Feedback you voluntarily provide may be used to improve the Services without identifying you or disclosing confidential customer content.
7. Privacy and confidentiality
Our Privacy Policy explains how MATHCODE processes personal data. For AIron customer content, the customer normally acts as controller and MATHCODE as processor under an Article 28 data processing agreement.
Each party must protect the other party’s confidential information and use it only for the agreed purpose, except where disclosure is required by law or separately authorized.
8. Availability, maintenance and changes
We aim to provide reliable Services, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, security events, provider outages or events outside reasonable control may temporarily affect availability.
MATHCODE may update the Services to improve functionality, security or legal compliance. We will not materially reduce paid core functionality during an agreed subscription term without a valid reason or an applicable contractual remedy.
Any specific uptime commitment, support response time or disaster-recovery obligation applies only if included in a written service agreement.
9. Fees, cancellation and termination
Fees, billing periods, taxes, renewal and cancellation terms are shown before purchase or set out in the applicable app-store terms, order form or written agreement.
You may stop using a Service at any time. Account deletion, data return and contract termination are handled according to the applicable agreement, Privacy Policy and mandatory law.
MATHCODE may terminate or suspend access for a material breach, non-payment, security risk, unlawful use or where continued provision is legally or technically impossible. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.
10. Warranties and liability
MATHCODE will provide the Services with reasonable care and skill. Except for express commitments in a written agreement and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, the Services are provided without additional warranties.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MATHCODE is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss caused by customer-configured workflows, unreviewed AI output or third-party providers. Any agreed liability cap in a separate commercial agreement applies.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
11. Consumers
If you use BillZi or another Service as a consumer, mandatory Croatian and EU consumer-protection rules apply. These Terms do not remove statutory rights concerning pre-contract information, conformity of digital services, remedies, withdrawal or unfair contract terms where those rights apply.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Croatian law. Mandatory consumer-protection and conflict-of-law rules remain unaffected.
Please contact info@mathcode.hr first so that we can try to resolve a complaint. If a dispute cannot be resolved, the competent Croatian court will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right of a consumer to bring proceedings before another competent court.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms for legal, security, technical or business reasons. We will publish the updated version and change the effective date. Where a material change affects an existing paid Service, we will provide notice as required by the applicable agreement or law.
